Bluebird Perch

The only difference between our cabins is in furnishings and decor,  and we have tried hard to furnish both cabins with quality equipment,  furniture, linens, and utensils. This cabin has a double swing of the  front porch, while Cabin 1 has a double slide rocker, but both are fun!  Both are ideal spots for romantic getaways, for small family adventure,  and as bases for a variety of sites and activities in the Blue Ridge  Mountains

From the partially covered and partially open front porch,  you can relax and enjoy the view or sip a cocktail in the hot tub while  looking up at the stars. Your main view will be across the pasture to a  knoll of trees and, beyond that, the mountains, but you can also see the  spring fed pond below. One thing that has enchanted many of our  visitors is watching the fireflies dance in the pasture and trees at  night - its magical! And in the early morning or evening, your chances  of seeing deer feeding in the field are excellent. Turkey, rabbit, and  various birds are regularly seen on the property and, during the summer,  we try to keep feeders on the porches of both cabins to enjoy  the acrobatic antics of the hummingbirds, up close and personal. They will enchant you!

Upon  entering the cabin, you will be enchanted with the warm glow of the  logs that form the cabin walls and that connect the matching wood floors  and wood ceilings. The cabin contains electric air and heat, paired  with a  lovely gas powered fireplace whose primary purpose  is ambiance, but that can also help heat the cabin on a snowy night. You  can snuggle on the couch as you watch the new flat screen TV that  receives programming from the Dish Network. A dvd  player is also provided for your enjoyment. Each cabin also has ceiling  fans and plenty of windows so you can adjust and be comfortable in any  weather conditions.

On the other side of the main room is a fully equiped kitchen  with all new appliances, a dining area with a dining table in front of a  large window to enjoy the views, and a bath with tub and shower.   Besides the normally supplied refrigerator, microwave,  coffee maker, and stove, a  dishwasher, clothes washer and clothes dryer  are installed for your convenience if needed. The cabin is fully  furnished with dishes and utinsels, towels, and bedding, and 2 bath robes will be waiting for your use with the hot tub, which  is very easy to use and provides good water flow and powerful jets.

The bedroom is furnished with a very comfortable queen bed as  well as areas for storing and/or hanging your clothing. Wi Fi service  is available for your laptop or smart phone, and a cd player can be  found in the bedroom.
